2025 ASSP AwardsASSP is proud to offer the following awards that are presented at the Southern Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Conference in October. Award applications are accepted until August 30th preceding the October event.
The application period is open and the deadline will be on August 30th, 2025.

1. Safety Committee Recognition Award In Honor of Frank Bertak
and Best of the Best Safety Committee Award
Identifies safety committees, its members and activities that have made a significant contribution toward company's overall success.
One Best of the Best Safety Committee Award winner will be selected who outshines the rest in preventing harm to workers, promoting the cause of safety and health and making safety fun and engaging for all employees. |
2. Outstanding Safety & Health Program Award
In Honor of Randall M. Lundberg
Recognizes companies of all sizes that excel in addressing the seven major elements of an effective occupational safety and health program.

3. Chapter Safety Professional of the Year (SPY) Award
Acknowledges the dedication and outstanding contributions of an ASSP member to the safety and health of their employer organization or Chapter region.

4. Business Leader Who Gets It Award
In honor of Jared K. Hill
Recognizes a business leader who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to safety and health and who has set the pace for safety in their organization going above and beyond the minimum requirements based on a core value to keep employees safe.

5. Safety Committee Champion Award
This award will recognize a cooperative safety committee member that is a true champion for safety in their organization going above and beyond the minimum requirements based on a caring to keep coworkers safe.

6. Community Member Who Gets It Award
Recognizes a community member who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment in leading or influencing a positive safety outcome in our community.
